Research Methodology

I will be undertaking my research in a variety of ways. This will allow me to form the best possible conclusion to my essay. There are many sources from which knowledge and understanding of a subject can be gained. To gain such information it is important to conduct research. This includes both Primary and Secondary research. However due to the time constraints it is very difficult to conduct thorough and effective primary research. Therefore I will have to have greater reliance on secondary research. I will use information and data which has either been compiled over five year ago or information and data which have been created closer to the present. I think it is important to understand that due to rapid technological change data that is older than five years or more, can seem very dated in comparison to other subject areas where information and data created five years ago would be relatively new. I would like to include subjective and objective data in my essay so I will include qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data is opinion and is very important as it gives a different dimension to information in ways that quantitative data cannot. Despite this quantitative data is extremely important as it provides statistics. The research that I undertake must be relevant so that my arguments can be put forward in a clear and concise way. If I can carry my research out in this fashion then I should have a clear and balanced argument which would lead to a suitable conclusion.
